Hi my name is Ashley but everyone calls me Monkey Boy or Monkey for short.

im a student character animation at Teesside University just going into my 4th and Final year, for me animation is my life, i live it, i breath it, i absorb everything i can to do with animation the good stuff anyway.

Mark Walsh once told me if you watch and take in rubbish you will only produce rubbish and i still follow that this day.

i try to filter out all the bad animations out there so that when i do take it in and then go off to do my own work i only produce hi standard work and so far its been hard as i don't have the eye for bad animation yet so some do slip through but its getting better.

ever since i was 5 years old i have wanted to work on cartoons back then it was always flipbooks and drawing little doodles during class (dont draw in exercise books you get in trouble ).

now i am 21 and i have never once wanted to be anything different, for me animation is everything.

when i first come across DJ's post on 11SC i didn't realize that it was going to be such a great help to me in my aim to become the best animator i can.

anyway back to the question at hand, what is my dream job?

well i must say back when i was younger is was to work for Disney then Pixar and i always thought that they where my dream jobs and in a way they still are i would love to one day work for them but i would no longer say that they are my dream job now i would say that my dream job is to now work in the animation industry as a character animator, no specific company as once i am in the industry i am a professional animator and my dream has come true. Pixar, Dreamworks, Disney, Qurios Entertainment, etc are goals and aims in life and i will always be trying to get to that point in my life where i will be working them but they are no longer my dream they are my life goals.

anyway a bit long winded i guess but i just wanted to let you all know who i am and what i do.

Thanks DJ, you know me, animations is my life there is nothing i would love to do more as a job because if you can find a job that you love it will never be work and it will never get old it will always be new and exciting from day one till day infinity. and thats what i love about animation it is something that i love and it is something that will never be work to me.
