Hey Olivier,

Your jump is looking great so far! There is definitely some weight there, and the overall timing looks good. I think my main critique is that Hogan doesn't quite look sure if he wants to jump forward horizontally, or up over something. I think one thing that would help is having a chasm or something for him to jump over.

I think one of the problems is that the force of his anticipation doesn't seem to oppose the force of the action. He anticipates down and forward, which looks to me more like an anticipation for a higher jump.

If you want him to jump more horizontally, I would have him back up in his anticipation, and then launch forward. Also, for a more horizontal jump, I would have the back leg extended backward longer, and the front leg extended forward more, like he is really leaping and reaching for that other side.

Just my two cents. What you have so far is looking great!!

Thank you very much for your critique, it is very helpful !

I began this animation without any video reference (just looking at myself in the mirror and doing some roughs) and I realize how important the reference is.

What you say about the anticipation part is very interesting, I'll work on this !
